The Southern Sangam is organising a dance performance on Thursday 28th August 08 at the Benn Hall with artists invited from Mumbai India between 6 and 9 PM. It will be a very colourful and a vibrant performance and you will see the South Indian community at it's traditional best.

Community Consultants Training in Rugby will help community members, parents, carers and young people in the Rugby area to become Community Consultants.

The programme includes:

Community, attitudes and beliefs
Research, market research, evaluation and recording techniques
Communication, body language and listening skills
Oral presentation skills and role play
Family and community diversity
Recruiting young people/parents, involving local people, community resources
Delivery of presentations
Safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety
Final portfolio completion, plus internal moderation for accreditation

Rugby Small Grants Scheme - £500 for groups

The Rugby Small Grants Scheme provides grants of up to £500 to small and emerging community / resident / voluntary groups. The money can be used for anything that has a community benefit, including:

Start up costs
Room hire to hold a large meeting to attract more members
Printing costs for a group to promote their activities
